Chicago Pneumatic Warranties www.cp.com

It is extremely important that you register your tools with Chicago Pneumatic within 30 days of your purchase. Any extensions that might be offered with the tool for warranties are invalidated if this registration is not completed.

Chicago Pneumatic tools have a Limited 2-Year Warranty for some of their tools, a 5-Year Limited Warranty for their cordless tools, and a 3-Year Limited Warranty for their batteries (called the 5-Year/3-Year). They also have a 1-Year Free Replacement, no hassle for their cordless tools. All of these warranties require the tool to be registered with Chicago Pneumatic (CP) within 30 days of the original purchase date. CP will not honor warranty extensions (beyond the standard manufacturer's limited warranty) on unregistered tools.

Chicago Pneumatic (CP) Warranty Rules

1-Year Warranty

All new Chicago Pneumatic products are warranted to be free from defects for 1-Year from the Date of Purchase in the manufacturer's Limited Warranty.

1-Year Free Replacement for Tools and Batteries

USA, Canada and Mexico benefit from a 1-Year free replacement offer for tools and batteries. Registration of each tool on the website is required within 30 days of the original purchase date.

With the Classic Range of new products, CP warrants its material and workmanship because these products have been selected, tested and proved by thousands and thousands of tool users, year after year. So now CP is putting a 2-Year Limited Warranty in writing on the Classic series of tools. Registration of each tool on the website is REQUIRED within 4 weeks of the original purchase date.

Upon completion of the on-line registration, the models of the Classic product range ('the Product") are warranted Chicago Pneumatic Tools Company, LLC ("CP") to be free from defects in material and workmanship for two years from the date of purchase.

This warranty applies only to a Product purchased new from CP or one of its authorized dealers. Of course, this warranty does not apply to Products which have been abused, modified, or repaired by someone other than CP or its Authorized Service Representatives.

If a Product proves defective in material or workmanship within two years after purchase, return it to any Authorized Service Center for CP tools, transportation prepaid, enclosing your name and address, adequate proof of date of purchase and a short description of the defect. CP will, at its option, repair or replace defective Products free of charge. Repairs or replacement are warranted as described above for the remainder of the original warranty period. CP's sole liability and exclusive remedy under this Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective Product.

The foregoing Warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, or conditions, written or oral, expressed or implied, including, without limitation, all warranties, or conditions, of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose all of which are hereby disclaimed. There shall be no liability for incidental, consequential or special damages, or any other damages, costs or expenses, excepting only the cost or expense or replacement or repair.

5-Year/3-Year Limited Warranty

The cordless power tools, batteries and chargers of the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co., LLC ("CP") are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 5 Years for tools and 3 Years for batteries from the date of purchase. This warranty applies only to products purchased new from CP or its authorized distributors. CP accessories (i.e." driver bits, drill bits, sockets, gloves, etc...) are not included in the 5 or 3 Tear Limited Warranty and neither is the 1 year free replacement. 

Of course, this warranty does not apply to products which have been abused, misused, modified, or repaired by someone other than CP or its Authorized Service Representatives. If a CP product proves defective in material or workmanship within 5 or 3 years after purchase, return it to any Authorized Service Center for CP Tools, transportation prepaid, enclosing your name and address, adequate proof of date of purchase, and a short description of the defect. CP will, at its option, repair or replace defective Products free of charge. Repairs or replacement are warranted as described above for the remainder of the original warranty period. CP's sole liability and exclusive remedy under this Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the defective Product. (There are no other warranties expressed or implied and CP shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages, or any other damages, costs or expenses excepting only the cost or expense of repair or replacement as described above.
